Founded in Buenos Aires in 1997, Betaplus grew from a technical production base into a production partner for ambitious television formats in studios and demanding locations around the world.
Since adding content development and production in 2008, our work has expanded across documentaries, factual series, reality formats, film, and live entertainment. Today, our teams in Buenos Aires, Mexico City, and Miami combine field experience with current production workflows, including AI-assisted image generation for development, previsualization, and creative problem-solving.

Juan founded Betaplus. For decades, he has led the technical execution of complex television formats, including Survivor, Fear Factor, Big Brother, The Island, and The Apprentice, developing production and broadcast solutions for entertainment and media companies around the world.
He has built audiovisual businesses and projects in Argentina, the United States, the Dominican Republic, and Mexico. He is also a founder of HIPA, the Hispanic Independent Producers of America.
Miguel has more than 25 years of experience in the audiovisual industry. For over two decades, he oversaw History Channel in Latin America and led content strategy and production for The Biography Channel, Lifetime, A&E, and History 2. He also directed the Argentine documentary channel TV Quality and the Educable project.
His production experience spans hundreds of titles across documentaries, reality television, and fiction. A member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences since 2014, he has received recognition from the International Emmy Awards, Martín Fierro, ATVC, New York Festivals, PRODU, and PromaxBDA.
Jorge is a showrunner, producer, screenwriter, journalist, and playwright. He is Head of Content at Maussan Television and works across Betaplus’s television projects, with a focus on documentaries and factual storytelling.
His credits include The UnXplained Latin America (History), Los Expedientes Secretos con Jaime Maussan (History), and Cam Alert: Captura Exitosa (A&E). He was an executive producer of Perla Negra 2.0 and created the Tiempo Real franchise, which received a PRODU Award for Best Documentary. His work also includes Contacto Extraterrestre, Sugestiones: La ciencia del engaño, and biographical programs for The Biography Channel. His awards include Martín Fierro, ATVC, and FundTV.
Ignacio is an electronic engineer with more than two decades of experience in television production. His work covers programs, films, commercials, and concerts, as well as the design and installation of television studios.
He specializes in the technical development and production of major reality formats, including Survivor, Fear Factor, Yo me llamo, Latin American Idol, La Isla, and The Apprentice. In 2022, he also began working in the aerospace industry.
Sole is a content lead and screenwriter with more than 20 years of experience. Since 2020, she has led content at Betaplus, developing factual and entertainment formats. Her work has received a Martín Fierro Award for Best Documentary and multiple PRODU Awards for unscripted content.
Her experience includes reality and docu-reality projects such as Factor X, Rides, Extreme History, and Obsesión. She has worked in Mexico, the United States, Colombia, and Uruguay with companies including Fremantle, Endemol, PEGSA, and Fox, and on projects for Netflix, History Channel, NatGeo, and Discovery Channel. Her fiction work has also been recognized by international festivals and development funds.
Matías is a director, filmmaker, and post-production manager with more than 15 years of experience. He has led post-production teams on Betaplus projects for clients including History Channel and Telefe, as well as work for PEGSA, Netflix, and Discovery Channel.
He specializes in adapting international formats for local audiences while preserving their identity. Matías is also a partner at WANCAMP, a post-production company whose clients include Netflix, PEGSA, Landia, and A&E.
